Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

OneMind (“OneMind”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Vapid Dragon LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. OneMind is a weekly global polling service available on the web, as mobile apps, and as a browser extension. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.

2. What we collect

  • Account identity — sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. Depending on how you sign in, Firebase processes your email address and/or a provider identifier. On our own servers we store only an opaque Firebase user ID mapped to your account — we do not store your email or password.
  • Username you choose.
  • Region — a coarse world region you select yourself (e.g. Europe, North America). We do not collect GPS or precise location, and we do not derive your location from your IP address.
  • Voting activity — the choices you make on weekly questions (stored encrypted) and the time those choices were made.
  • Comments and community submissions — text you submit. Comments are deleted from the public feed when the question closes.
  • Anti-abuse signals — your IP address is used transiently to enforce rate limits and detect vote manipulation. We do not store your raw IP in our database; we keep only a one-way hash of it in a short-lived cache that expires within about 8 days, not linked to your profile.
  • Push notification token — if you allow notifications, a device token issued by Apple (APNs) or Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you alerts, such as when a week’s results are published. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

3. How we use it

  • To operate the service: showing the weekly question, recording your vote, and displaying live and final results.
  • To produce aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g. regional breakdowns).
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and automated manipulation of polls.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To send service-related notifications (you can opt out of non-essential ones).

We generate a weekly AI “internet consensus” comparison from publicly available online sources using the Google Gemini API. This uses aggregate poll results, not your personal information or individual votes.

4. Payments

On our website, businesses may pay to have a question featured for a week. These payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card number. Paid question hosting is offered on the web only.

5. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

We process your data on the basis of the contract between you and OneMind (to provide the service), our legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and your consent where required by law.

6. Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run OneMind. They process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, infrastructure, and push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
  • Apple — push notification delivery to iOS devices (Apple Push Notification service).
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, bot protection (Turnstile), and cookieless page analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which counts page views without cookies or tracking you across sites.
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid question hosting (web only).
  • Google Gemini API — used to generate the weekly “internet consensus” comparison from public sources. We do not send your personal account data to this provider.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

7. How long we keep it

  • Votes are retained as part of the historical poll record.
  • Comments are deleted from the public feed when the question closes.
  • Community submissions may be retained with the published question record even after account deletion.
  • Hashed IP data expires automatically within about 8 days.
  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email contact@oneminds.app to make a request.

9. Children

OneMind is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA / UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password for your account.

11. Changes

We will update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or by email. The “Last updated” date above will always reflect the current version.
